[2010_09-26] Carlos & Elsa’s E-Session
On one of the hottest afternoons I had ever seen, we visited the very quaint Victoria Beach (Laguna Beach, CA) for Carlos & Elsa’s engagement session. It was my first visit, and only Carlos’ second visit to this beach during our lifetimes. We had seen e-session photos of other couples, taken by other photographers, and we just knew that we had to be there as well. The parking space was far from the water, and the hike both ways was long and steep. Although hiking has never been one of my favorite activities, I can actually say that this hike was very well worth it!
The mid-afternoon sun was unfortunately still pretty high up in the sky (we left the beach before sunset), but the beautiful scenery, the very uncrowded beach, and awesomely-cute couple made everything seem just fine and dandy.
If anyone’s interested in visiting this beach, here is the address:
Victoria Dr. (yes, it’s “Victoria Dr” not “Victoria St”…Google Maps and the road sign will agree with me)
Laguna Beach, CA 92652
See on Google Maps
We found parking to be rare in the private, adjacent residential streets (Victoria Dr., Sunset Terrace, and McAulay Pl.). “No parking” signs were abundant. We ended up parking along the Southern-side of PCH, just North West of the PCH / Rockledge Rd. corner. We found spaces on the Northern-side of PCH as well, but we weren’t too keen on crossing PCH with all of our gear and belongings.
We left our parked vehicles and hiked downhill to the Southern corner of Victoria Dr. and Sunset Terrace, then proceeded further downhill through a narrow walkway with steps and finally arrived at the beach.
